At Extra Credit Union, we routinely re-evaluate our product line and explore new opportunities to add value to your membership. In our pursuit to bring you the best products in the market, we are pleased to introduce our new partnership with ATIRAcredit. ATIRAcredit assumed ownership of the Extra Credit Union credit card program on August 1, 2011. The reason for this change is simple – to stay competitive in the credit card industry, we must have a card that offers additional features, rewards and flexibility.
2. Who is ATIRAcredit?
ATIRAcredit is a credit union organization that provides credit cards to partner credit unions. ATIRAcredit offers a Platinum Rewards MasterCard to replace your current Extra Credit Union credit card. 3. What are the benefits of the new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit Rewards MasterCard®?
4. Will Extra Credit Union still be able to service my credit card account?
Your relationship with us at Extra Credit Union is enhanced by this partnership. You will still have the ability to make inquiries about your card, and you can continue to make payments at your local branch. Your current card – with its features and benefits – will continue to work as usual until you receive your new card.
5. What is the transition timeline?
6. Will my account number change?
Yes, you will receive a new account number and expiration date. Closer to the transition, we’ll remind you to update any automatic or recurring payments under your current Extra Credit Union card to your new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit account number.
7. Will my interest rates increase?
Your new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit card pricing will be based on your risk score; therefore, interest rates will be unique to the individual. In March 2012, you will receive a Welcome Letter disclosing your new interest rates along with a new cardmember agreement.
8. Can I continue to use my Extra Credit Union credit card?
Your current account will continue to work as usual until April 2012. You will receive your new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit card (see timeline above) before that date so you will not have any usage interruptions.
9. What will happen to my old Extra Credit Union credit card?
Your old Extra Credit Union card will be closed and your balance will be moved to your new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit card at conversion on April 27, 2012. Any balance you have on your card will remain at your existing rate until it is paid off. New transactions made on the card after April 26, 2012 will have the new terms that will be disclosed to you in the Welcome Letter dated February 2012.
10. Will my credit bureau report reflect this change?
Your new card will be added to your report. The new card may be listed as TMG Financial Services, ATIRAcredit.
11. Will my joint account holder or authorized users also receive a new card?
Yes, all card holders under your current card will receive the new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit card. They will maintain the same joint holder or authorized user status they had under the old account.
12. How can I make a payment on the new card?
As a cardmember, you’ll continue to have a number of convenient ways to make your payment, just as you do today, including:
13. If my rate is decreased, will my current balance be moved to the lower rate?
No. Your protected balance that is transferred to your new ATIRAcredit card will be at your previous interest rate until the protected balance is paid in full. Any new purchases after 4/27/12 will be at the newly disclosed rate.
14. What happens to my Reward Points?
Your existing Extra Credit Union credit card will earn reward points until March 26, 2012. After this date we will temporarily shut off reward points on new purchases to allow us to move your card to the ATIRAcredit system. Your existing earned reward points will transfer to your new Extra Credit Union ATIRAcredit card within 60 days of the card transition.
