Cousino High School

Partnership

Since 1954, Extra Credit Union has been devoted to financial education. Since 2006, we have been devoted to Cousino High School. With seven full-service high school branches, two middle school and six elementary school programs, personal finance classes and seminars; Extra Credit Union provides schools, students and their families with a financial education that lasts a lifetime.

Extra Credit Union and your high school have formed a unique partnership by opening the Extra Credit Union Student Branch to provide that education in conjunction with hands-on, real-world experience.

Extra Credit Union is not just another financial institution; we are educators committed to helping prepare you for your financial future. You have the opportunity to open an account for only $5, and begin managing your own finances—a lesson worth learning.

Events

Extra Credit Union employees have been showing their support by volunteering at Cousino High School! Employees have spent their Friday nights handing out hot chocolate, hot dogs, and candy at football games or sponsoring free throw contests during basketball season.

"Our volunteer efforts are a fun and exciting way to be involved!” said Carol Visconti, Vice President of Financial Services. “It’s fun to see the students, parents and faculty outside of school in an environment where we typically don’t interact. We have always supported our partner schools. We just found another opportunity to show that commitment.”

Extra Credit Union has spent much time taking a step toward reinforcing their commitment to the community and the schools. Volunteering at school events is just one way to show their support. Although their sole purpose is to promote financial literacy, being able to support their schools in any way is what they strive to do.
