In our continuing effort to provide you with the best financial products and services, Extra Credit Union will be going through a System Upgrade. This upgrade is designed to enhance your banking experience from enhanced security to new direct deposit options.

You will still have access to your money during our system upgrade
You can write checks and use your credit cards, and you will still be able to use your debit and ATM cards; however, offline limits will apply.

Even if you have multiple accounts, remember just one number

When you first joined Extra Credit Union, you received a member number. Your account numbers were then created by adding a suffix to that membership number. For example, “00” represents a regular savings account, so your savings account number is 1234560 S00. After we upgrade, your member number will stay the same, and each account (i.e., checking, savings, loan, money market, etc.) will have its own separate number. But which one do you need to remember? Your member number—the exact same one you have today!


YOUR ACCOUNTS

Open multiple checking and savings accounts
You want to have three checking accounts, one for you, one for your spouse and one for the household? No problem. We can do that. And, you can view them all from the same account login and see them all on one statement.

Nickname your accounts so they are easy to remember
Can’t remember what number goes to what account? Simply provide a nickname like “Mediterranean Cruise” or “eBay Junkie” and make remembering all your accounts that much easier!

Direct deposit into any account
Your direct deposit now can be deposited into any account that you choose. So, if you want your social security or payroll automatically put into a savings account, you have that option.

Set-up scheduled transfers to multiple accounts
Why concern yourself with transferring money between accounts? Set up a scheduled transfer and never worry about saving or late payments on Extra Credit Union loans again.


Easier-to-read statements
View all of your account balances at a glance in the statement summary, or review an itemized list of transactions for each account in one easy-to-read monthly statement. Click here for a sample of our new statement.


Set-up combined statements
Have the option of receiving one statement for all the accounts associated with your household.


Choose a different joint-owner for each account
Multiple savings accounts no longer require the same joint-owner. We can set up a different joint-owner for each one of your accounts.

Enhanced Online Account Access Security
Multi-factor authentication helps to ensure that no one logs on to your account but you, making our Online Account Access safer than ever. You can even register the computers that you use the most for quick and easy access.

Receive and pay your bills in one secure online location
Extra Credit Union now offers you the convenience of receiving and paying your bills through Online Bill Payment. No more e-mail alerts reminding you to check your statements! No more keeping track of multiple passwords! Simply log into Online Account Access, check your statements, and with a few simple clicks, pay all your bills!

Have balance notifications sent to your cell phone or e-mail
Too busy to make that stop at the credit union or ATM but still want up-to-date information regarding your balances? Sign up for cell phone and/or e-mail alerts for those simple reminders.

One login gives you access to all of your accounts
Log in to Online or Phone Account Access and get immediate access to all of your accounts. No more signing in to one account, then logging out, then signing in to another one. Any account that you are associated with is now under that one login name and password.

Get a report at the end of the year of all the bills you paid with online bill payment
Along with creating reports, you will have the option of purchasing a conveniently packaged year-end CD for a nominal fee that includes all of your bill pay information for the entire year.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR MEMBER NUMBER

When you joined Extra Credit Union as a new member, you were automatically assigned a unique account number. Different types of accounts were then connected to this account number by adding a suffix—just another couple of numbers and letters. For example, you were assigned account number 4567-8-0. Then you opened a checking account and we used the letters SSD to identify the account type—checking account. S01 was used to identify a Money Market product, and so on.

After our system upgrade, your account number remains the same. We’re just changing the name. Your account number becomes your Member Number. Account suffixes will no longer be used. Instead each product will have a unique account number. But which one do you need to remember? Your Member Number—the exact same one you have today.

Multiple accounts
If you have more than one account number at Extra Credit Union, our system upgrade will join all of your accounts under one Member Number. Your lowest current account number will become that Member Number. Refer to the example below to understand how your accounts will be joined:

Accessing your accounts
You will now be able to access all of your current accounts by using this one Member Number. This includes accessing your accounts at any of our locations, through Online Banking and Personal Anytime Teller (PAT), as well as the Service Center branches.

Please note: Since your accounts will be combined under one login, if you have provided Online Banking or Personal Anytime Teller (PAT) login information to anyone else, they will be able to access ALL of your accounts. Therefore, if a member is a joint-owner on your account(s) and does not currently have their own Online Banking or PAT login, we recommend that they contact the credit union and request one.
