In partnership with local elementary schools, our Youth Education Partnership Program (YEPP) helps elementary students become knowledgeable consumers and regular savers by providing money management and consumer education. Students learn:
- The credit union philosophy
- Consumer choices: credit unions and banks
- The importance of investing wisely
- Benefits of credit union products and services
Students who open an account receive a membership kit that includes:
- Passbook
- Coloring book
- Surprise gift
To encourage saving:
- Every deposit, the student receives a sticker
- Every fouth deposit, the student receives a prize from the gift vault
- The school receives $1 for each new account opened during the school year
